Congratulations to John Breckenridge (JB) one of our Principal Physiotherapists, who recently published further research as a final component of his PhD studies entitled “Do people with chronic musculoskeletal pain have impaired motor imagery?A meta-analytical systematic review of the left/right judgement task”.
The findings indicate that motor imagery is altered for people with chronic pain affecting the limbs and face. Treatments aimed at restoring disrupted processing of body representations may be beneficial in chronic limb and face pain.
