On the 5th– 7th September 2014 Mitchell Delahay from our Penrith rooms attended the 7th World Scientific Golf Congress on the Gold Coast. This was first time that this golf-specific international conference was held in the Australasian region. It was an exciting opportunity for Mitchell, a keen golf enthusiast to attended presentations and workshops by world class Golf researchers, health professionals and PGA golf coaches.
Some of the keynote speakers included Professor Senshi Fukashiro- the Professor of Biomechanics from the University of Tokyo, Professor Mario LaFortune- the Director of Innovation from Nike, Mr Sean O’Leary- Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, Mr David Darbyshire- Physical Preparation Coach to elite golfers including World number 2 Adam Scott and Dr Phil Cheetham- Senior Sports Technologist & Biomechanist at the Olympic Training Centre in California.
