Paula Peralta Heads to the Commonwealth Games

The Practice is proud of Paula Peralta from our Penrith rooms who was chosen to support the 2014 Commonwealth Games Team.  Paula was chosen to be one of 6 Physiotherapist’s who will provide physiotherapy services to support the Australian Commonwealth Games Team and has now commenced her role in the lead up to the start of the competition.

“I arrived in the Commonwealth Games village as part of the Australian Headquarters Medical team on Sunday. This is a team of 5 Sports Physicians, 6 Physiotherapists and 6 Soft Tissue Therapists. Our medical headquarters is situated in the courtyard and is surrounded by the Australian teams living quarters.

I’m really looking forward to the next few days as the remaining Australian team athletes are due to arrive”.

We wish Paula all the best and look forward to hearing more about her experiences at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

Physiotherapists for the NSW Swifts

A goal in the final seconds from the Waikatao Bay of Plenty Magic ended the NSW Swifts 2014 finals campaign in a nail biting 50-49 sudden dealth semi final encounter. Although not the finish the NSW Swifts had hoped for, it was the first finals appearance for the NSW Swifts since 2011. With six new players in the team and a new coaching line-up, the NSW Swifts have improved significantly and are already looking forward to coming back even stronger in the 2015 ANZ Championship season.
