Netball is the number one team based sport in Australia for women and girls. Anyone who has played or watched the sport will know that netball requires lots of sudden stopping and change of direction as well as repetitive jumping and landing. These activities place athletes at high risk of injury, with knees and ankles as the most commonly injured body parts, accounting for 85% of all injuries (Netball Australia National Insurance Data).

Australian Diamonds Physiotherapist
Paula Peralta from our Penrith rooms has just returned from touring with the Australian Diamonds netball team for the first half of the Constellation Cup series. Paula has been working alongside Diamonds Lead Physiotherapist Alanna Antcliff this year in what has been a hectic year for the team.
Paula covered the NZ leg of the Constellation Cup series with two wins in Christchurch and Auckland. Unfortunately the Diamonds lost a close game yesterday in Melbourne to the Silver Ferns, which means the remaining Perth game will decide the winner of the 2015 Constellation Cup series.
The Diamonds have taken the opportunity to debut a number of athletes in the Constellation Cup series. Get behind the Diamonds and support them live on OneHD on Friday evening for the decider!! Go Diamonds!!
Australian Diamonds at Netball World Cup
It has been a huge week for the Australian Netball Diamonds retaining the number one world ranking defeating the New Zealand Silverferns by three yesterday.
This week brought back many memories for practice principal Sean Mungovan who was the Diamonds Physiotherapist four years ago in Singapore.
Paula Peralta has worked with the Diamonds in 2015 and couldn’t be happier to have played a part in this team.
It has also been a huge week for Nathanial Harnett who was one of a few volunteer Physiotherapists covering the Netball World Cup.
